Draft for review

Privacy policy

How Partnerships For Change handles the personal information you share with us. Last updated October 2026. This draft is for review by PFC's counsel before publication.

Who we are

Partnerships For Change (“PFC”, “we”, “us”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, incorporated in the State of Nevada. Our EIN is 88-0303288. Our office is at 1016 Lincoln Blvd., Suite 222 (Box 8), The Thoreau Center for Sustainability, The Presidio of San Francisco, San Francisco, CA 94129. Our mailing address is Post Office Box 29455, San Francisco, CA 94129.

This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to partnershipsforchange.org and the forms on it. It does not cover third-party sites we link to.

What we collect

We only collect what you give us through the forms on this site:

  • Donations: your name, email address, the amount, the project you designate, whether the gift is one-off or recurring, and any dedication or message you add. Payment details (card number, expiry, security code) go directly to our card processor and are never stored by PFC.
  • Fiscal sponsorship applications: the project director’s name and contact details, project title, logline, budget, funding to date, stage of production, and the proposal, budget and supporting material you upload.
  • Contact messages: your name, email address and the message you send.
  • Newsletter: your email address and, if you give it, your first name.

We do not collect sensitive categories of data, and we do not buy, rent or combine data about you from outside sources.

How we use it

  • To process your gift, send your tax receipt, and keep the records the IRS requires a 501(c)(3) to keep.
  • To review a fiscal sponsorship application and respond to it.
  • To reply to a message you send us.
  • To send the newsletter you asked for. Every edition carries an unsubscribe link.
  • To keep this site secure, for example by filtering spam submissions.

We do not use your information for any other purpose without asking you first.

We do not sell your data

PFC does not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share donor lists with other organizations. We share information only with the service providers who help us run this site and process gifts, and only as far as they need it to do that work:

  • A card processor, which handles payment details under its own security standards. PFC never sees or stores full card numbers.
  • Hosting, email delivery and form-storage providers that keep the site and our inbox running.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of PFC, our donors or the public.

Cookies

This site uses only the essential cookies and browser storage needed to make it work, such as remembering a form you started. We do not run advertising cookies or sell browsing data to ad networks. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

How long we keep it

Donation records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Applications are kept while they are under review and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can revisit a project that fits a later opportunity. Contact messages are kept until the conversation is resolved. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices and how to request deletion

You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email Jackie@partnershipsforchange.org with the subject line “Privacy request” and tell us which form you used. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to keep donation records the law requires us to hold, and we will tell you if that applies.

To stop the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any edition or email us. To cancel a recurring gift, see our terms.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. Questions go to Jackie@partnershipsforchange.org or by post to Post Office Box 29455, San Francisco, CA 94129. You can also call (415) 548-3330.
